About Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) is a federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) located in Utah. Founded in 1972 by Dr. Marvin Fifield, IDRPP is one of the nation’s largest UCEDD programs and is recognized for its pioneering research, training, technical assistance, and services for people with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who serve them. At IDRPP, our mission is to create inclusive communities and improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families through sustainable innovation, collaborative research, responsive service, and interdisciplinary training and education. We strive to make a lasting impact in the disability community.
