Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) helps strengthen families and children/youth by providing services that help them develop the skills to handle everyday stresses as well as more significant challenges. JFS’s Autistic Spectrum Services Project AWARE is funded by United Way of Atlantic County, and it works to increase awareness of autism and related disorders, while offering no or low cost evaluations and support to families with children who are newly diagnosed with ASDs, particularly those from minority families and those who are uninsured or underinsured. Project AWARE is making a difference in Atlantic County and beyond, helping to empower those affected by autism to live better lives.
