John Ichiro Takayama, MD

John Ichiro Takayama MD is a pediatrician and expert in primary care, specializing in providing care for children with special medical needs. He earned his medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Yale New Haven Hospital. With a Master of Public Health degree, Dr. Takayama also completed a fellowship in clinical research at the University of Washington. He is also the founder of the interdisciplinary medicine department at the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo, and is passionate about health promotion, patient-physician communication, child advocacy and community collaboration.
