About Kathryn Chib

Kathryn Chib is passionate about advocacy and special education. With an M.S. in Special Education and Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certification from the University of LaVerne, Autism Authorization from UCLA, and School Leadership and Administration from Johns Hopkins, Kathryn started her career as a substitute teacher in rural Michigan, and later served as an IEP chair and school administrator in central and southern Los Angeles. Her experience with hundreds of IEPs has given her an intricate knowledge of best practice in writing and implementing IEPs, as well as navigating the systems which can deny services to students.
