About Lokrantz Special Education Center

Lokrantz Special Education Center is a historical landmark that was designed by Sidney Eisenshat in 1961 to meet the needs of students with orthopedic challenges from grades K-12. It features a soaring entry canopy, a circular plan, a folded plate roofline, and windows that allow natural light into classrooms. The school also includes a hydrotherapy pool, wheelchair playscape, and modified swings with seat belts for accessibility. With its rich history and accessible design, Lokrantz Special Education Center is dedicated to providing quality education for students with orthopedic challenges.
