At Mary Louise Marasovich, MA, we understand that it can be difficult to know if your child needs speech therapy. If your child is autistic, speech therapy is almost always recommended as it can help with social communication. Even if your child is very verbal, they might need to work on communication skills such as responding to questions, starting conversations, changing topics, and understanding body language. Speech therapy is important for early intervention in autistic children and can help them grow into more confident and independent individuals. If your child is very quiet, says only a few words, or doesn’t speak at all, it might be a sign they need speech therapy. Our guide will help you understand everything you need to know about speech therapy so you can make the best decision for your child.
At Mary Louise Marasovich, MA, we strive to provide comprehensive speech therapy services to help your child communicate effectively in all environments. Our speech therapists specialize in helping children with nonverbal skills, forming speech in a clearer way, communicating thoughts and feelings, understanding and responding to questions, discerning facial expressions, understanding body language, feeding and swallowing, and even stuttering. We are dedicated to helping your child reach their fullest potential.
