At Mercy Homer, we understand that it can be difficult to know if your child needs speech therapy. That’s why we have created a comprehensive guide to help you understand the signs that your child may need speech therapy, including difficulty with social communication, responding to questions, starting and ending conversations, changing conversation topics, using gestures, understanding body language, and more. Speech therapy is especially important for autistic children and those with language delays, as the critical period in the brain for language development requires early intervention. With the help of our guide, you can assess if your child needs speech therapy and learn effective ways to help them communicate more confidently and independently.
At Mercy Homer, we understand how important speech and communication therapy can be. Our speech therapists specialize in helping children learn to communicate more effectively in all environments. Our experts help children with nonverbal skills, forming speech, understanding and responding to questions, discerning facial expressions and their corresponding emotions, as well as understanding body language, feeding and swallowing, and stuttering. With Mercy Homer’s speech therapy services, we are dedicated to helping your child discover their full communication potential.
