Mid-East Community Action Agency (MECAA) was established in 1965 with the enactment of the Federal Head Start Program, providing early childhood education programming to preschool children in Roane and Loudon Counties. Our mission is to identify and eliminate conditions of poverty that affect individuals and families, while utilizing and mobilizing community resources to empower those in need. MECAA is proud of the work we do to improve the quality of life in our community, and we invite you to learn more about the exciting initiatives we are working on.
