About Mrs. Kelly Watton

Mrs. Kelly Watton is a COPAA-trained advocate and Lindamood Bell-trained (Seeing Stars Program) special education professional. After having a son with Down Syndrome and struggling to navigate the complex special education process put in place by the IDEA, she was inspired to help other parents and children facing similar challenges. With a degree in communications and experience writing for newspapers and magazines, Mrs. Watton brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to her work as an advocate. She is passionate about reading, writing, and ensuring kids have a solid foundation in literacy, and she is committed to bringing ideas to the IEP table, preserving parents’ voices at the table, and building a solid plan for the child.
