At the Museum of Work & Culture, we provide tailored programs and a low sensory environment for visitors with sensitivities such as autism. Our SensAbilities Saturdays program offers sensory-friendly hours on the first Saturday of each month at 9am, and we also offer free programs on alternating summer Mondays with art and music therapists. Our visitors can also take advantage of our social story, checklists, “first-then” boards, and a backpack with headphones, sunglasses, weighted lap pads, and more to make their visit as comfortable as possible. Our staff have all been trained by the Autism Project and our offerings are enabled by the generous support of CVS Health Charity Classic. With our commitment to offering specialized programs and a low sensory environment, the Museum of Work & Culture is dedicated to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for all visitors.
