NAMI Washington is the state-level chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. Our mission is to provide support, education, and advocacy for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We work to promote understanding, acceptance, and the goal of improved lives for people living with mental health challenges. Our work takes place on the national, state, and local levels. We provide access to programs and resources that help individuals and their families navigate the mental health system and access appropriate care. We strive to empower individuals and their families to make informed decisions and to become advocates for their own mental health.
