New Star is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization based in Chicago Heights dedicated to unlocking the potential of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide innovative vocational, educational, therapeutic, and social opportunities to over 650 individuals annually throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. With our industry-leading e-recycling facility, nationally-recognized advocacy program, and innovative residential care models, we strive to break down barriers and create life-changing opportunities. Our mission is to provide choices and opportunities to those with disabilities and their families, and to cultivate a culture of caring and innovation to maximize independence and enrich lives.
