Have questions?

At Oxford Recovery Center | Brighton, we understand that it can be difficult to know if your child needs speech therapy. If your child is diagnosed with autism, speech therapy is almost always recommended to help them improve their social communication skills. Speech therapy can help your child learn how to respond to questions, start and end conversations, change conversation topics, use gestures, and understand body language. Early intervention is key when it comes to developing language and communication skills, and speech therapy can give your child the tools they need to grow into a confident and independent individual. If you’re not sure if your child needs speech therapy, look for signs such as difficulty speaking, using only a few words, or being very quiet. For more information on speech therapy, please check out our guide.

At Oxford Recovery Center in Brighton, our speech therapists specialize in helping children communicate effectively with others in all environments. We provide a variety of services, from teaching nonverbal skills and forming speech more clearly to helping comprehend facial expressions and body language. Our speech therapy program also includes working on stuttering, understanding and responding to questions, and developing feeding and swallowing skills. With the help of our experienced therapists, we are confident that our clients’ communication and overall wellbeing will improve.

At Oxford Recovery Center, our team of experts specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, a scientific method of learning and behavior. Visit our website for a complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.
