The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides parent information and training to families and professionals of children with disabilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Founded in August of 1978 by Win Anderson and Steve Chitwood, PEATC promotes respectful, collaborative partnerships between parents, schools, professionals, and the community to increase the success of students with disabilities. As a leader in special education, training, and advocacy, PEATC has made a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of families in Virginia and beyond.
