Pennsylvania Health Law Project (PHLP), based in Philadelphia, is the oldest and only legal aid organization in the state that is devoted to protecting and advancing health care rights. For more than 25 years, PHLP has provided legal assistance and representation to thousands of individuals from all over Pennsylvania, helping them acquire and maintain health care coverage and services. PHLP also works to bring about policy changes that benefit many in the state by using what is gleaned from individual cases, and engages in community education programs that empower healthcare consumers, providers, and other advocates.
