At Programs to Educate All Cyclists (PEAC), we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Ypsilanti, Michigan working to promote transportation equity for people with disabilities. Our travel training programs focus on teaching individuals how to ride bikes and utilize public transit safely and independently. The concept of PEAC was born in 1988 when a special education student was injured in a bike accident, prompting our founder, John Waterman, to create a bike safety program. From that single program, we have grown into a nonprofit dedicated to cycling education and travel training for individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to safe, efficient and equitable transportation options.
