RCAW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing respite care to individuals and families in Wisconsin. Founded in 1987, RCAW was officially adopted by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in 1999 and is funded by the state’s General Purpose Revenue. Our mission is to provide comprehensive and accessible respite services that support and maintain the health, safety and well-being of individuals and families across Wisconsin. We work to ensure those in need have access to quality respite care, allowing them to maximize their independence while maintaining their dignity and respect.
