Rush University Medical Center’s Department of Behavioral Sciences in Chicago, Illinois is dedicated to providing outstanding clinical psychology services and advancing psychological science through research and advanced training. We offer a highly competitive psychology predoctoral internship and various postdoctoral fellowship programs in adult and child health psychology. Our research is supported by NIH and foundation grants, with a focus on sleep disorders, neurocognitive psychology, stress and trauma, obesity, pain, depression in older adults, and coping with severe illness. Our Traumatic Stress Center uses a multidisciplinary approach to restoring full functioning and control to individuals with stress disorders, with a focus on trauma in inner-city women, health-related trauma, and terrorism and war.
