About South Chicago Parents and Friends | Chicago

South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer support and solutions for those who love and care for them, by providing options and creating opportunities for them to learn, live productively, work in rewarding jobs, and value themselves and their roles in society. Founded in 1976 by a small group of parents and friends from the southeast side of Chicago, we now serve individuals and their families throughout southeast Chicago and the southern suburbs. Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers who guide the organization.
