South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in 1976 by a small group of parents and friends from the southeast side of Chicago, we strive to provide options and opportunities for our consumers to learn, live productively, work in rewarding jobs, and value themselves and their roles in society. Our board of directors, consisting of volunteers, works to support individuals and their families throughout southeast Chicago and the southern suburbs. We are committed to challenging, motivating, and inspiring our loved ones while helping our communities recognize, integrate, and appreciate diversity.
