At Special Olympics Alaska – Kodiak, we are dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals to reach their full potential through sports, health, and education. Our team is passionate about promoting inclusion, acceptance, and respect for all athletes, families, and communities. We believe that through participation in sports, individuals with intellectual disabilities can develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy and friendship. Our goal is to help those with intellectual disabilities achieve their highest potential and to create positive social change through sport.
