Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL) is a non-profit organization providing athletes in 102 counties throughout the state with the opportunity to compete in various sports. Region A Rockford, one of 11 geographic Regions, is comprised of Boone, Bureau, Carroll, DeKalb, Jo Daviess, LaSalle, Lee, Ogle, Putnam, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago counties. Region A is managed by a dedicated team of professionals, including a Region Director, Sports Programmers, Fundraisers, and Outreach, Communication and Education Executives, all working hard to ensure that athletes have the opportunity to compete at the highest level, including at the State Championships. Special Olympics Illinois – Region A Rockford provides a unique opportunity for athletes to realize their full potential, while having fun and making lifelong memories.
