Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL) is a non-profit dedicated to providing sports programming for people with intellectual disabilities in all 102 counties of the state. Region H, located in Adams, Brown, Cass, Greene, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler and Scott counties, is one of the 11 geographic regions of SOILL. Each region has its own team, led by a Region Director, to implement SOILL programming and activities at the local level, including sports competitions and fundraising campaigns. Those who earn a gold medal at their Region Qualifier may advance to the next level of competition, which in most cases is the State Championships. SOILL strives to provide athletes with meaningful opportunities to participate in sports and gain a sense of self-determination, accomplishment and inclusion.
