Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL) is a non-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities to athletes in all 102 counties across the state. SOILL is divided into 11 geographic Regions that each have their own team to implement programming and activities at the local level. Every Region is led by a Region Director and staffed with a team of dedicated individuals who manage sports programming, fundraising campaigns, outreach, communication, and education initiatives. At the Region Qualifier, athletes can compete for a chance to advance to the next level of competition, usually the State Championships. SOILL proudly provides athletes with an opportunity to grow, learn, and compete for gold.
