At Special Olympics Maryland – Frederick County, we strive to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for citizens with intellectual disabilities, helping them to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy. The essence of our mission is to give these individuals the opportunity to share their gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community at large. Through our programs, we seek to foster a spirit of inclusion and belonging for all.
