Special Olympics Maryland – St. Mary’s County is dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition to all children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to give them the opportunity to develop physical fitness, courage, joy and friendship through their participation in Olympic-style sports. We strive to create a supportive environment where individuals can share their gifts, skills and experiences with their families, fellow athletes and the community. With our help, individuals with developmental disabilities can realize their potential, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging.
