Special Olympics Michigan-Area 36 provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while participating in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, Special Olympics athletes, and the local community. With the help of volunteers, coaches, family members, and staff, our athletes are able to achieve their dreams. Michigan citizens and businesses help to fund the program through generous donations.
