Special Olympics New Jersey – Somerville is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to give them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Our commitment to inclusion and providing a platform for athletes of all abilities to express themselves through sports makes us uniquely positioned to build a world of acceptance, understanding, and celebration.
