Special Olympics Rhode Island is an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. We provide over 1,600 sports training and athletic competition opportunities to over 4,000 children and adults annually. Our statewide tournaments and competitions span 20 official and demonstration sports, with over 40 events held each year. We strive to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals with intellectual disabilities can achieve their full potential. Through our programs we strive to foster self-confidence, courage, and joy, while promoting an active and healthier lifestyle.
