Special Olympics South Carolina – Area 12 is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to help our athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share their gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where athletes of all abilities can experience the joy of sport. Our commitment to excellence and empowering athletes with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential is what makes us stand out.
