At Special Olympics Texas – Abilene, our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We strive to give those we serve the chance to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and form meaningful relationships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Our goal is to empower those we serve and create a world in which they are able to reach their full potential and experience a sense of belonging.
