Suson Park, established in 1962, is the legacy of Sidney Salomon, Jr., a prominent St. Louis figure who owned Sportsman’s Park and the St. Louis Blues hockey team. The park’s name was created by merging the names of Salomon’s children, Susan and Sonny, and it was officially opened to the public in May 1964. Today, Suson Park is a beautiful, family-friendly destination for outdoor activities and a cherished part of the St. Louis community.
