At SwimRVA Autism Swims, we provide swim instruction to children with autism in order to create a positive, therapeutic relationship with the water that can last a lifetime. Our certified instructors are specially trained in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and understand how to create calming and confidence-building aquatic experiences. Our goal is to help reduce the risk of drowning, which is the top cause of death in children with autism according to the National Autism Society, and to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience.
