TEACCH Asheville Center is a University-based system of community regional centers in western North Carolina providing services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), their families, and professionals. Founded by Dr. Eric Schopler in 1972, TEACCH® Autism Program offers a range of core services such as diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning and implementation, education, consultation, training opportunities, and research. The program also provides family consultation sessions, social play and recreation groups, individual counseling for higher-functioning clients, and employment services. TEACCH® Autism Program offers training and consultation services on a national and international scale and conducts psychological, educational, and biomedical studies.
