The Arc Carroll County is a non-profit organization founded in 1955 by a small group of parents with the mission to provide necessary services for children with developmental disabilities. The Arc Carroll County was created to fill the void of available special education programs, structured social activities, and educational opportunities. With roots in the basement of the Davis Library on Main Street in Westminster and the Mount Airy American Legion, The Arc Carroll County has grown to support children and adults with disabilities, offering a variety of services, including job training, recreation, and advocacy. We strive to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for individuals with disabilities, providing resources, support, and education to the community.
