The Arc of Southside is a local chapter of The Arc of Virginia and The Arc of United States. For more than 60 years, we have been serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, by providing day care, educational opportunities, and work programs. We are part of an impressive network of human service agencies and civil rights advocates, working together to ensure that individuals with disabilities have the support and services they need to live, work, and stay connected in their communities. Our mission is to promote and protect the rights of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, so they can experience a life of dignity, respect, and inclusion. At The Arc of Southside, we strive to make the world a better place for those with disabilities.
