The Center for Accord is an educational organization dedicated to helping school personnel and parents work together in special education. Our services are designed to facilitate collaboration between school and parent teams, enabling them to create optimal, mutually beneficial outcomes for all involved, particularly children. We provide practical training to school personnel and parents in areas such as: collaboration, team building, negotiation, consensus building, facilitation techniques, conflict prevention and resolution, and effective meeting management. Our programs can be tailored to meet the needs of any endorsing agency and are often sponsored by individual school districts, education service centers, cooperatives, parent support groups, and resource centers.
