The Independent Living Center (TILC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities live independently. Founded in 1994 as a satellite office of the Springfield Center for Independent Living through the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), TILC became an independent center a year later. Our goal is to increase the autonomy and quality of life of people with disabilities in southwest Missouri. We believe that individuals are the most qualified to direct their own care and future, which is why we take a “consumer-driven” approach to our work. TILC is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those with disabilities, striving to create a more equal, accessible world.
