Have questions?

At The Youth Clinic in Fort Collins, we understand that it can be difficult to determine if your child needs speech therapy. We can help you identify if your child might need speech therapy, which typically covers topics such as: responding to questions, starting or ending conversations, changing conversation topics, using gestures like pointing, and understanding other people’s body language. Speech therapy is an important part of early intervention for autistic children, and is often the starting place for those recently diagnosed. It’s important to teach language and communication skills as early as possible, as there is a critical period in the brain for language development. Our guide to speech therapy can help you learn more about this important service and how it can help your child grow into a more independent and confident individual.

At The Youth Clinic in Fort Collins, we recognize the importance of effective communication and the role it plays in everyday life. Our experienced Speech Therapists can help your child develop the skills necessary for successful communication, such as understanding and responding to questions, discerning facial expressions, and forming speech in a clearer way. We also specialize in providing nonverbal skills, gestures, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and assistance with feeding and swallowing. Our team is committed to helping your child build the skills necessary for successful communication, so they can thrive in any setting.
