The UNH Institute on Disability (IOD) is a premier center for excellence, located within the University of New Hampshire in Concord, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. Established in 1987, the IOD is federally designated and authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Act, with a mission to provide a university-based focus for research, academic, service, and dissemination initiatives. Through innovative interdisciplinary approaches, the IOD seeks to build local, state, and national capacities to respond to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families.
