The UNH Institute on Disability (IOD) is a federally-designated center located within the University of New Hampshire, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Act. Established in 1987, the IOD strives to improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families through interdisciplinary research, academic, service, and dissemination initiatives. Our mission is to build local, state, and national capacities to respond to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. With our innovative, evidence-based approaches, the UNH Institute on Disability is New Hampshire’s University Center for Excellence in Disability (UCED).
