Valley Achievement Center (VAC) of Bakersfield, CA, established in 1998, provides educational, behavior modification and socialization day programs for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. With four facilities and close to 300 employees, VAC offers a range of services including full inclusion preschool, a full day Basic Education Program, after school programs for both children and adults, Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and six unique programs for adults, such as Independent Living Skills, Supported Living Services, Group Supported Employment, and Individual Supported Employment. Our offerings focus on improving functional, social and daily living skills for both supported and independent living situations, as well as developing self-advocacy and vocational training skills to enhance employability.
