Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL) is a nonprofit organization directed and staffed by people with disabilities. Established in 1979, VCIL is the only Center for Independent Living (CIL) in Vermont and serves all of the state. With 80% of staff and 92% of the board having significant disabilities, VCIL leads the way in understanding what it takes to help others. VCIL’s central office is located in Montpelier with five branch offices in Bennington, Brattleboro, Burlington, Morrisville, and Rutland.
