The Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting the independence of individuals with disabilities in Vermont. Founded in 1979, VCIL is the first Center for Independent Living in Vermont with a majority of board and staff composed of people with disabilities. Our five branch offices located in Bennington, Brattleboro, Burlington, Morrisville and Rutland serve all of Vermont, with 80% of our staff and 92% of our board having significant disabilities. We are committed to helping people with disabilities achieve their goals of independence and self-determination. With our central office in Montpelier, VCIL is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities, so they can live life to the fullest.
