The Watson Institute is a special education school in South Fayette, PA, that offers an approved private program to serve children ages 5 to 21 with special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, cerebral palsy, neurological impairments, and other developmental disabilities. Our classrooms are staffed by a special education teacher and two instructional aides, supplemented by physical, occupational, and speech therapists, social workers, behavior specialists, on-staff nurses, and teachers of the visually impaired. We also provide special classes such as art, music, and adapted physical education from certified teaching staff. Our Bridgeville location, WISCA (Watson Institute Social Center for Academic Achievement) offers a special education school program designed to help students with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder complete school utilizing an online curriculum adapted to meet each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Students can also choose their elective classes to suit their unique interests, and receive therapeutic instruction in language and social skills, organizational and life skills, and community based instruction to help them transition into adulthood after graduating from the program.
