YMCA Camp Independence is a special place where campers age seven and up with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities can learn skills, develop character, and make friends. Our camp offers a unique environment where campers learn to be independent while also understanding the importance of community. Our counselors create an amazing experience as campers enjoy campfires, boating, archery, games, and meaningful relationships. At YMCA Camp Independence, we strive to teach self-reliance, foster a love for nature, and develop strong character among our campers.
